Board approves four permits, conditions school field project

Upton Zoning Board approves five permits, conditions school field project. The board voted 5-0 on a variance for the Mendon-Upton Regional School District to construct bleachers and synthetic turf field improvements at 90 Pleasant Street, contingent on road-side safety barriers near the seating area. Four Special Permits were also approved on 5-0 votes: light manufacturing for a furniture repair business relocation to 159 Milford Street, a deck construction project at 25 Warren Street, a mixed-use building at 6-8 Grove Street, and withdrawal of an application at 73 Crockett Road.
A comprehensive permit for 27 townhouses at 45 Milford Street received no action and will be discussed further April 15.
