Conservation Commission approves peer review for senior housing development

UPTON — Conservation Commission continues senior housing review and approves peer review scope. Travis Brown of Turning Point Engineering presented plans for a 16-unit senior housing development at 0 Mechanic St within the 200-foot riverfront area, and the commission unanimously voted to continue the hearing to April 22 and sign the Ecotec peer review proposal for wetland-line analysis. Chair Christine Scott said the commission would send a letter to the Planning Board before April 14.
The commission also unanimously approved barriers to protect salamanders and frogs during spring migration and authorized a $30 expense for Mike Penko to print warning signs.
