Conservation Commission approves pool, advances trail project

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 27, 2026

UPTON — Conservation Commission unanimously approves swimming pool at Westboro Road and Mechanic Street trail project. Chair Christine Scott and members voted to permit an inground pool at 146 Westboro Rd with no work in the 50-foot wetland buffer and no anticipated wastewater discharge. The Commission closed the hearing on an eight-duplex senior housing project at Mechanic Street, which would create a trail connecting Pixie's Park to Baker Pond with two off-street parking spaces; the Order of Conditions is expected to be signed by June 24.

In additional business, the Commission issued an emergency order for Sterling Pond Dam repairs.
