Conservation Commission approves stormwater bylaw changes
Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 8, 2026
UPTON — Conservation Commission unanimously approves changes to Upton stormwater bylaw and regulations governing permitting thresholds. Approved updates included Chapter 242 of the bylaw and Section 5 of Chapter 325 regulations, which Conservation Administrator Mary Overholt said had made permitting unnecessarily restrictive; the revisions clarify standards for slope and impervious surfaces. In other business, the Commission continued four Notices of Intent to April 22, including a senior housing development at 0 Mechanic Street, site work on East Street, Kiwanis Beach sand nourishment, and a solar field at 169 South Street, along with a Resource Determination Appeal at 75 Elm Street.
