Upton DPW project clears prequalification gate, moves toward September bidding. The DPW Building Committee unanimously approved prequalified general contractors and, in a separate 4-0 vote with David O'Brien recused, approved prequalified masonry subcontractors. The project, designed by Vertex and Weston & Sampson, cleared Planning Board approval and Conservation Commission sign-off; National Grid and Eversource Gas approvals remain pending.
Bid documents are scheduled for mid-September release, with general contractor bids due October 21 and contract award targeted for November.
