Planning Board accepts apartment and senior housing filings

Upton Planning Board schedules hearings for senior housing and garden apartment projects. The board accepted a filing from Crandon Realty Trust for five garden-style apartment units at 3 Centennial Court and a filing from Turning Point Engineering for a 16-unit senior housing community at 0 Mechanic Street, with first public hearings scheduled for March 24 and April 14, respectively. The board, chaired by Tom Davidson, continued public hearings for the East St Estates subdivision (17 proposed lots) and the 130 South Street subdivision (four proposed lots) to March 24, citing site and drainage concerns.
The 47 Mechanic Street public hearing closed with voting deferred to March 10.
