UPTON — Recreation Commission approves concert funding and opens spring registration. The commission voted 2-0 to approve a $2,250 budget carryover from last summer for a June concert by Studio 2 (a Beatles cover band) and to open the Kids at Pratt youth program for spring sign-ups, with staff recruitment deadlines of March 15 for new positions and March 31 for returning staff. Director Maria Cherubino will consult with town management and legal counsel about sponsorships, while member Christopher Murphy will approach Steven Venezia, Upton Unibank manager, about potential support.
The commission also voted 2-0 to adjourn at 8:35 pm.
