UPTON — Recreation Commission moves to split K@P program into two independent half-day sessions. Chair Rick Porter and the Commission determined the program needs restructuring to meet true program qualification standards. Each session will maintain a 1:6 staff-to-child ratio with a 30-minute midday checkout period.
The Commission approved a volleyball fee increase to thirteen dollars per participant at Blackstone Valley Regional Technical School to cover increased janitor costs, and authorized Recreation Director Maria Cherubino to investigate new tennis net purchases and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant bleacher installations using site improvement funds.
