Select Board accepts donation, postpones major decisions

Upton Select Board tables funding and property decisions. The board unanimously accepted a $1,500 donation from Saint Gabriel Knights of Columbus for Elder and Social Services and accepted the resignation of Kristyn Moen from the Capital Budget Committee. The board postponed action on a FUSe funding request for $3,000 from the Risteen Trust Fund for community events, with members questioning the appropriate trust fund source and whether the funding would become recurring, tabling the matter for further review at the next meeting.
The board also tabled its consideration of Chapter 61A property rights on an East Street lot for two weeks pending input from the Planning Board and Conservation Commission.
