SELECT BOARD APPROVES $17,295 IN BEAUTIFICATION AND LIBRARY FUNDING

UPTON — Select Board approves $17,295 in beautification, library funding. The Board unanimously approved $5,000 for the Men's Club's seasonal planter maintenance and $12,295 to replace aging "Welcome to Upton" signs with permanent granite versions. Library Director Matthew Bachtold presented three gifts totaling $3,100: the Board unanimously approved expenditure of $600 from the Lora Dearth Trust Fund, a $500 donation from the Cogan Duncan Fund for children's programming, and $2,000 from the Friends of Upton Library Trust for Sensory Playtimes.
Town Manager Kristen Rubin updated the Board on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, which was signed unanimously.
