Upton Preservation Committee Passes Over Trail Bridge Funding

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of April 15, 2026

Upton Community Preservation Committee passes over Robertson Trail Bridge funding request. Chair Mike Penko reported that the project could not obtain construction bids within budget, prompting the committee to defer the warrant article after discussions with the Robertson Family and the Department of Conservation and Resources about redesigning the trail with a new easement alignment that would eliminate the bridge entirely. A site visit is scheduled for April 29th.

The committee unanimously approved a $25,000 administrative budget, voted to approve annual transfers to reserve accounts, and approved Town Hall renovation bond costs for the thirteenth year.
