Upton senior services pursue MBTA partnership, request staffing expansion

Upton Council on Aging pursues transportation expansion with staffing requests. Director Tania Paparazzo reported January 12 that Upton is pursuing a $60,000 MBTA partnership through the MWRTA to expand transportation services while preserving Dial-A-Ride access, subject to Select Board approval and a public hearing. The Council requested funding for an Assistant Director position and a new 19-hour Program Coordinator.
The board waived a $4 shopping trip fee, welcomed new members Gail Heald and John Saulen, and referred a FUSe memorandum of understanding to February for review.
