Town Hall Building Committee seeks outside project manager for $3.39M work
Town Hall Building Committee · Meeting of July 29, 2026
UPTON — Town Hall Building Committee reorganizes and seeks project manager for $3.39M work. The committee unanimously elected Paul Flaherty as Chair, Bill Andrews as Vice-Chair, and Steven Rakitin as Clerk. A Building Envelope Team assessment dated October 28, 2025, and preliminary cost estimates from Weston & Sampson are driving the planned work: roof replacement with ice guards, brick re-pointing, glazing and caulking, and foundation repairs.
The committee must now hire an outside Owner's Project Manager and a historic-preservation-focused Designer after the town's Building Commissioner position became vacant.
