Upton approves school bleacher variance and four zoning permits

DocumentCenter · Meeting of March 18, 2036

Upton's Zoning Board approves school athletic field variance and four permits. The board unanimously approved a variance for the Mendon-Upton Regional School District to construct bleachers, a press box, retaining walls, fencing, and lighting at 90 Pleasant Street, conditioned on safety barriers along the roadside to protect field users near the road. The board also unanimously approved four special permits: a furniture repair business relocation to 159 Milford Street, a deck expansion at 25 Warren Street for a pre-existing nonconforming structure, a mixed-use office and residential building at 6-8 Grove Street, and a withdrawal of a special permit amendment at 73 Crockett Road.

A comprehensive permit application for 27 townhouses at 45 Milford Street was continued to April 15.
