Select Board · Meeting of August 4, 2026
UPTON — Select Board appoints special counsel for construction project dispute. The Upton Select Board voted unanimously on August 4 to engage Petrini & Associates, P.C. as Special Counsel to address potential litigation with GEG Construction, Inc. over the Route 140-Main Street/Milford Road Water and Sewer Extension Project. Town Manager Kristen Rubin noted the firm would provide specialized legal expertise beyond the Town's standard municipal counsel.
The Board also unanimously reappointed Mead, Talerman & Costa, LLC as Town Counsel through June 30, 2027, and scheduled a Special Town Meeting for September 3, 2026, to consider a Holy Angels citizen petition. Separately, the Board authorized the Town Manager to explore options for a potential auction of the Holy Angels property.
