Upton approves $141,525 in year-end budget transfers, authorizes water assessment. The Select Board and Finance Committee unanimously approved year-end budget transfers totaling $141,525, with Finance Committee member Steve Bern noting potential FY27 budget distortions. Town Manager Kristen Rubin explained departments monitor budgets monthly and that most FY26 adjustments, including utility overages at the community center and unexpected HVAC failures at Town Hall, were one-time events.

The board also unanimously authorized Rubin to execute a $48,000 contract with Tighe & Bond for an EPA-mandated drinking water risk and resiliency assessment.
