Upton Select Board appoints Rogers and Morton, advances $19.5M DPW facility project. Chair Laura Hebb and Select Members Maureen Dwinnell and Brett Simas unanimously appointed Susan Rogers as Assistant Treasurer/Collector and Lisa Morton to the Cemetery Commission for a term ending June 30, 2028. Rogers brings over 20 years of municipal finance experience.
The Board unanimously accepted $1,100 for the Food Pantry and $1,000 from FUSe for the Senior Soiree, and authorized Town Manager Kristen Rubin to execute electricity aggregation contracts when market conditions favor better rates. The Department of Public Works facility project moved from schematic design into permitting with cost reductions to $19.5 million through a reduced footprint and postponed features, with bidding planned for late summer.
