Select Board · Meeting of July 21, 2026
Upton Select Board approves 5 percent water and sewer rate increase for fiscal 2027. Vice Chair Laura Hebb and Select Member Maureen Dwinnell voted unanimously to adopt the increase, which DPW Director Dennis Westgate attributed to rising operating costs. Town Manager Kristen Rubin recommended and the Board unanimously approved appointments of Andrea Gonsalves as Part-Time ESS Program Specialist and Justin Blanchette as Heavy Equipment Operator.
The Board awarded the Grove Street Bridge contract to Maverick Construction and scheduled a Special Town Meeting for November 10, 2026 at Nipmuc Regional High School.
