Select Board Reorganizes; Approves Permit Fees and Signage Funding

Upton Select Board elects Simas Chair while approving electrical permit fees and additional signage funding. The Board voted unanimously to elect Member Simas as Chair and Member Hebb as Vice Chair. In two unanimous votes, the Board approved a new electrical permit fee schedule for multifamily dwellings ($150 for 100-amp, $200 for 200-amp units) and an additional $8,345 from the Beautification Trust Fund for "Welcome to Upton" signs, totaling $20,345.
The Board also discussed a Town Meeting clicker malfunction and agreed to seek free vendor support for the Fall Special Town Meeting.
