UPTON — Planning Board approves special permit for senior housing community at Lantern Hill. Katherine Robertson moved to remove a conservation restriction requirement from project conditions; the motion passed unanimously. Board member Margaret Carroll moved to approve the draft approval document subject to remaining conditions, which also passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting, the board joined the Affordable Housing Trust in reviewing a draft update to the town's Housing Chapter of its Master Plan, with discussions focusing on zoning reform, housing density, affordability requirements, and preservation of open space. Staff will post the chapter for public comment in the coming weeks.
